Chaya

The name Chaya has its origin in Hebrew and means "Mother of Life" or "Life." The name should be pronounced KAIYA.

Roller Skating and Roller Derby indeed becomes 'life' to those who compete and involve themselves in the sport.

The brand was originally created to develop high performance roller skates and equipment to fit the lifestyle, design and needs of today ́s modern day roller derby player.

There is not just one demographic within roller derby. The elite players skate to win and are often former athletes, speed skaters, figure skaters and hockey players. There are also those that are drawn to the sport for the counterculture image that derby often projects - the image that is portrayed by the media the most.

Regardless of what level a skater plays at, or their reasons for playing the sport. It is unanimous that all derby players love the culture, spirit and empowerment of playing a full contact women’s sport.
